Our Music Program
Music is deeply valued by the members of First Christian Church. It is a key element in all of our services, contributing greatly to our worship experience. Additionally, the church’s music program provides an opportunity for friends to learn more about music, express themselves musically and fellowship together.
The Chancel Choir performs at all regular and special worship services. The group’s repertoire encompasses a variety of musical styles including anthems by classical composers, spirituals, carols, folk hymns, and contemporary works, thus meeting the spiritual needs of all members of the congregation, whatever their musical tastes. The choir also performs special concerts at Christmas and Easter. Christmas, Palm Sunday, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Mother’s Day are always rich with music at First Christian. On any one of these days, our service is likely to include selections by all of the choirs, individually or in combination.
